The Business Babes Collective had its first event in two years, and the stats were out of the roof! With the event completely sold out, approximately 200 women joined in person! Also received over 67.5k reach on Instagram over the past 30 days as they shared about sponsors, vendors, and speakers, creating new connections in person and virtually within Vancouver’s Entrepreneurial Community. It was an excellent opportunity for up-and-coming entrepreneurs to gain tips and tricks of being a woman in the business world.
Danielle Wiebe founded Vancity Business Babes in 2015, bringing like-minded women in business together to connect, learn and use their businesses to create a positive impact!
This year we got to hear from panelists Karen Lee (@lezethelabel), Raveena Oberoi (@ravthechef, @justcakesbakeshop), Sarah Boland (@bolandia_, @lifelapse_app), and Karin Bohn (@karinbohn, @houseofbohn). Each panelist had valuable advice that could be applied to all aspects of being an entrepreneurial woman in business.
Throughout a two-hour panel discussion, the struggles of being an entrepreneur, such as finding a work-life balance, having a healthy relationship with social media, and many more topics were discussed and mulled over. We had panelists and attendees opening up and bringing to light difficult times in their lives. The support of everyone in attendance was spectacular; women were listening to one another and praising them for their hard work and efforts. It was a privilege to be a part of this empowering and uplifting environment.
